I am alive, I swear I’ve started 3 posts already but never got around to finishing them. Sorry!

Mac got to come home on Valentine’s and stayed almost a week. He got to go to my dr appointment on Feb 17 where we got to hear the baby’s heartbeat for the first time. I posted an update on the baby blog if you want to check it out here. I have another appt on Mar 17 for a check up and then a sono scheduled for Mar 25. Mac is hoping to be able to come home for that appointment but I’m not sure since work is starting to pick back up. He is in Farmington, NM today for a orientation class for BP, sometime in the next couple of weeks they will be starting a job for them.

Tomorrow night Dani has a very, very important band concert (or so she says) out at a airport hanger at the Midland airport. Why they are having a concert there, I have no idea, but whatever. I’m taking the camera so I’ll hopefully be posting a video of the concert sometime this weekend of next week. Just depending on when I feel like I need to do it. hehe.. I’ve turned lazy.

We are slowly gaining walkers and money for March for Babies in April. It makes me happy that we have friends that are actually participating in the walk this year.. now I just have to start talking some family members into walking.. come on people, you know you want to! I’m posting the badge again and also this years flyer. If you want, save the picture and print it out, pass it along! Anything helps!

Born no longer than a ballpoint pen, Katelyn Marie Hall, a premature baby girl survived overwhelming odds to be named the 2009 March of Dimes National Ambassador. Katelyn was given only a 5% chance of survival and spent 5 months in the NICU, before her parents, Ashley and Michael could bring her home. Today Katelyn is a happy and energetic 5-year old, but she does have consequences from her early arrival. Katelyn was chosen as the 2009 National Ambassador because she exemplifies the long term problems faced by many children who survive an extremely early birth.

Ashley and Michael are determined to raise a million dollars, the cost of Katelyns medical care, for the March of Dimes so the organization can help more babies and families. The video highlights Katelyns inspiring story and her parents successful fundraising efforts and dedication to the March of Dimes mission.

Yup people, (I say this every year) it’s that time of year again.

Anyone who really knows us, knows how important the March of Dimes is to our family.

The girls and I will be walking the 5 miles at UT of the Permian Basin on Saturday, April 18th. Our family has a team goal of $1,500 and I’m asking you to sponor us.

As you know, I am currently 12 weeks pregnant. And more than likely, this baby will end up in the NICU just like Shaye did. The March of Dimes supplies money and technology at the hospital that both Shaye was born and where the new baby will be born.

Please people, if you are in the Permian Basin, and will be around on April 18, join our team. If You don’t feel comftorable on a team, join as an individual walker. Anything will help! If you aren’t up for walking, donate. It goes to a really amazing cause!

If you can’t see the video, click here.

Today in the U.S., 1 in every 8 babies will be born prematurely. Some of them won’t survive, and others will have health problems that could last a lifetime. The funds we raise in WalkAmerica support research that saves babies’ lives.

I have a condition that makes any of my pregnancies have pre-term labor and all of my babies will come out small. Shaye was born 4 weeks & 1 day early on June 2, 2004. She weighed 3 lbs 1/2 oz and was 16 inches long. She was in the NICU for 1 month and 3 days. We are some of the lucky ones because Shaye doesn’t have any long term disabilities.. She’s a little short (lol) but she breathes, walks, talks and sees just fine.. She’s now 2 1/2 and a little monster We’re working on potty training, manners and all that fun stuff..

Please think of Shaye and all the other babies of the world born prematurely before turning away from WalkAmerica. You just may save a life!

Thanks all for helping!

Steph
