I am alive, I swear :D I’ve started 3 posts already but never got around to finishing them. Sorry!

Mac got to come home on Valentine’s and stayed almost a week. He got to go to my dr appointment on Feb 17 where we got to hear the baby’s heartbeat for the first time. I posted an update on the baby blog if you want to check it out here. I have another appt on Mar 17 for a check up and then a sono scheduled for Mar 25. Mac is hoping to be able to come home for that appointment but I’m not sure since work is starting to pick back up. He is in Farmington, NM today for a orientation class for BP, sometime in the next couple of weeks they will be starting a job for them.

Tomorrow night Dani has a very, very important band concert (or so she says) out at a airport hanger at the Midland airport. Why they are having a concert there,  I have no idea, but whatever. I’m taking the camera so I’ll hopefully be posting a video of the concert sometime this weekend of next week. Just depending on when I feel like I need to do it. hehe.. I’ve turned lazy.

We are slowly gaining walkers and money for March for Babies in April. It makes me happy that we have friends that are actually participating in the walk this year.. now I just have to start talking some family members into walking.. come on people, you know you want to! I’m posting the badge again and also this years flyer. If you want, save the picture and print it out, pass it along! Anything helps!

2009 National Amassador: Katelyn’s Story

Born no longer than a ballpoint pen, Katelyn Marie Hall, a premature baby girl survived overwhelming odds to be named the 2009 March of Dimes National Ambassador. Katelyn was given only a 5% chance of survival and spent 5 months in the NICU, before her parents, Ashley and Michael could bring her home. Today Katelyn is a happy and energetic 5-year old, but she does have consequences from her early arrival. Katelyn was chosen as the 2009 National Ambassador because she exemplifies the long term problems faced by many children who survive an extremely early birth.

Ashley and Michael are determined to raise a million dollars, the cost of Katelyns medical care, for the March of Dimes so the organization can help more babies and families. The video highlights Katelyns inspiring story and her parents successful fundraising efforts and dedication to the March of Dimes mission.
